Multiple vessel charters from various origins including the UAE, Houston and Shanghai were carried out along with many container movements for this ongoing project.
The OOG compressors were shipped from the UAE up to site in West Australia on an urgent last in first out vessel to try minimize the transit time and risk of delays at any interim ports. Unexpectedly, the proposed vessel (MV Minervagracht) was unfortunately, hit with drones off the coast of Yemen only a few days prior to the proposed laycan. Fortunatley, Big-Lift was able to provide an alternative vessel on short notice and maintain the original laycan and last in first out contract.
Upon arrival at Henderson Port in Western Australia, the cargo was discharged and moved to our warehouse near Perth while the site prepared for its arrival and was then delivered to site.
The cargo had to undergo strict cleaning processes to ensure it passed the stringent Australian AQIS requirements and customs regulations, this was particularly challenging due to the constant biological waste matter produced by the birds near the origin port, so cargo had to be constantly inspected and recleaned day after day until the vessel arrived.
